Summary | 0015152: Hobgoblin stats
Description | Issue type: Page Content Reported from: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/humanoids/hobgoblin by Aidan Sawyer email: ugiyaidan@gmail.com User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/68.0.3440.106 Safari/537.36 How come a hobgoblin has 17 HP? 1d10+6 is maximum 16, and I suppose the correct value is 11. Right now she is about as strong as a bugbear, although much lower in DC.

Looking at the Orc (1d10 + 1 = 6 HP), I agree with the reporter. I have amended the page to show 11 HP. I'm not sure how to close this issue. |

Comment from Owen K.C. Stephens (Paizo developer): "Owen KC Stephens John Reyst Well it's a 1st level fighter, and one assumes the hobgoblin took the favored class bonus fighter, since that was its first class level. Not an issue with NPC classes, like orc warriors, but PC classes get favored class bonuses. For example, check out the catfolk ranger. 1d10+2 HP, despite having a 12 Con. Because it has +1 hp as a FCB." |
