Summary | 0016097: Information on Estimating Gold Value table wrong
Description | Issue type: Page Content Reported from: https://www.d20pfsrd.com/ User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/88.0.4324.190 Safari/537.36 Found on page: https://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/Magic-Item-Creation/#Magic_Item_Gold_Piece_Values Issue: "2 If a continuous item has an effect based on a spell with a duration measured in rounds, multiply the cost by 4. If the duration of the spell is 1 minute/level, multiply the cost by 2, and if the duration is 10 minutes/level, multiply the cost by 1.5. If the spell has a 24-hour duration or greater, divide the cost in half." This footnote on the table is wrong. It is not implemented anywhere in pathfinder, for any item, let alone for the referenced item. Example cited: Lantern of Revealing https://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/wondrous-items/h-l/lantern-of-revealing Continuous Invisibility Purge would be Caster Level (5) x Spell Level (3) x Duration Adjustment (2 for Invisibility Purge's 1 min/level) x 2,000 is wrong by exactly the duration modifier more than the price listed on the page. The actual price of the item is 30,000 gold which is 5x3x2,000=15x2,000=30,000. I have reverse engineered *every* wondrous item and the duration cost adjustment is not implemented *anywhere* in pathfinder. I encourage you to do the same if you don't believe me. It's easily verifiable.
