Description | Automated import from Google spreadsheet. My gaming group is concerned with a rules clarification between Mass Cure/Inflict Wounds spells and Chain Lightning. Both are able to target one creature per level within a specified effect area. Chain Lightning clearly states "they must all be within 30 feet of the primary target, and no target can be struck more than once." Mass Cure/Inflict spells do not have this same limitation stated. After reviewing instantaneous duration spell rules and targeting, it doesn't offer any further insight, except to assume that the same target can be targeted more than once per casting because Chain Lightning states you cannot. So, can you target the same creature more than once with a single casting of any Mass Cure/Inflict Wounds (or similarly designed instantaneous duration) spell? Please address this in a FAQ or update Mass Cure/Inflict spells or Instantaneous rules. | ||||
