DescriptionAutomated import from Google spreadsheet.
When I'm browsing through the Feats list on that one giant page, I do like the layout -- individual names, more compact than the one-feat-per-line description sets -- but I tend to browse past (and open up pages for) tons of feats that don't apply to my build. I'm talking things I don't even meet the prerequisites for, such as racial feats, feats meant for higher levels or other classes, or feats that build on a string of feats I don't have, but also feats that are categorically outside the scope of what I'm after, such as Teamwork feats, skill bonus feats, and save bonus feats.

All this makes browsing through the list of General Feats or Combat Feats an annoying chore. If I don't already have an idea of what I'm after -- if I'm trying to figure out the possibilities -- then filtering is no good (and even when I *do* have an idea of what I'm after, filtering is pretty finicky).

You've separated a few sets of feats into their own lists, and I think this is a good start, but it doesn't go far enough. What I'd like to see is two distinct pages (Combat and Noncombat) filled with categories, so it's easy to compare like feats. In addition to Category A, B, C and the like, there should be a big list of everything that doesn't fit in the categories. I don't see any reason to keep a huge alphabetical list of feats that are already in smaller categories; it's like the least useful data set ever.

Here are some categories that seem obvious to me:

COMBAT FEATS

Have Fighter-only feats in their own set, so players who aren't fighters don't have to be annoyed by all the cool things they can't learn to do. (Alternatively, have a way to hide/show all Fighter feats, but I think even Fighters might want to see those things special to the Fighter class.)

Sort all feats by minimum BAB. This way I don't keep opening ones meant for characters three times my level, and when I get to a level that opens up a new set, I can easily browse through just that set.

(Reminds me of how often I've wished that HeroLab let you sort items by cost. I would be looking through any item close to e.g. 4500g, and then slowly move down in cost until I found something useful.)

Within each minimum BAB level, separate the list into Offensive, Defensive, and Combat Maneuver feats. Players who have based their build around one of these styles can then easily see those feats that work best to increase their advantage, or, alternatively, find feats to offset their weaknesses. I realize there's some overlap, but it shouldn't be too bad.

I know you've got a Combat Styles page; the Combat Styles might be listed in short form on their own section of the Combat Feats page, but they shouldn't be in the main list. And the main style should be listed first, regardless of its alphabetical order. Obviously the category title should be a link to the page comparing and contrasting the feats.

Same with Teamwork feats: They shouldn't be in the main list. 90% of players browsing the list aren't going to be after teamwork feats, and those who know they want teamwork feats are going to go straight to the teamwork page.

Racial combat feats should be off by themselves as well, and sorted by race, so when you find your race's group you don't have to hunt for more of them.

Feats based on specific classes should be off in their own category as well.

NONCOMBAT FEATS

The feats that rely on having a specific alignment should be off in a category, separated by type of alignment required.

Racial feats, sorted by race.

Improved saves, starting with the basic +2 versions (Iron Will, etc.) and anything based on them, then any other feats based around improved saves.

Feats that give +2 bonus to two skills. And in the same category but below this set, any other feats that are based around skill bonuses. Make sure to list which skills are affected so it's easy to figure out which ones you want to compare before you go opening a ton of pages.

Magic feats should be categorized by which element they affect. For example, if I'm trying to figure out how to upgrade my channeling, it should be easy to look through a short list of channeling feats and see what they do. Same with familiar upgrades, or spell list upgrades, etc.

And magic feats should be organized by minimum caster level, so it's easy to focus on the feats that apply to my current level, instead of all the ones meant for much higher levels (or all the ones that are trivial by this point).

Feats meant for specific classes should be in one category, sorted by class. If I'm a bard I should be able to browse through the bard feats, and if I'm not a bard I should be able to ignore that category entirely.

I'm sure I could come up with some other categories, but you get the idea. Getting the feats sorted into reasonable categories would be a tremendous improvement over the current setup, and I'm sure it would benefit anyone who relies on your pages to pick out feats.
