Bloodline

...He does not gain any bonus feats, and he gains bonus spells from his bloodline at different levels (see the bonus spell class feature below). To use any ability that normally functions when in a bloodrage, an eldritch scion must spend a point from his eldritch pool (see below). ...

This ability replaces spell recall.
And:
Bloodrager Bloodlines

When a bloodrager enters a bloodrage, he often takes on a physical transformation** influenced by his bloodline and powered by the magic that roils within him. Unless otherwise specified, he gains the effects of his bloodline powers only while in a bloodrage; once the bloodrage ends, all powers from his bloodline immediately cease, and any physical changes the bloodrager underwent revert, restoring him to normal.
(**i.e.; growing claws or wings) Therefore, the bloodline powers are not continuous, and only work during "mystic focus." Like a bloodrage, both can only be operated for similar rounds per day. This is the eldritch scion's answer to the bloodrager's bloodrage, and how they work in the game. Makes sense; they're the same powerfulness.

The eldritch scion may thus spend his eldritch pool points to temporarily increase his abilities. The regular magus can spend his arcane pool points to regain spent spells. So far, we're balanced.

However, the eldritch scion also must pay to use Spell Combat. If that's to balance something else out, why does the cost go away a third of the way through one's career? I'm not being snarky or anything here, I just honestly can't tell.

This is what combat looks like, round by round for a regular magus:
Round | Action
1 | Spell Combat to attack, cast a spell, and deliver it via Spellstrike
2 | Spell Combat to attack, cast a spell, and deliver it via Spellstrike
3 | Spell Combat to attack, cast a spell, and deliver it via Spellstrike
4 | Spell Combat to attack, cast a spell, and deliver it via Spellstrike
For the eldritch scion, it's identical until they (quickly) run out of mystic focus, then they are forced to either
Round | Action
1 | cast a spell
2 | Spell Combat to attack, and deliver last round's spell via Spellstrike
3 | cast a spell
4 | Spell Combat to attack, and deliver last round's spell via Spellstrike
Until level 8, at which point, both tables look identical. No reason; this doesn't balance out anything - all the advantages and disadvantages have already been balanced out. (And again, if I missed something and this does balance something out, why does the balance disappear after level 8?)
